The community is in dire need for economical development initiatives. There is nothing new about poverty and its impact on a community. Rev. Dr. King stated: “There is nothing new about poverty. What is new, however, is that we have the resources to get rid of it.” (Nobel Peace Prize Address, 1964).
Objective: The E.D.G.E. program will provide community organizations and entrepreneurs with “Preparation for Business Training Courses.” The courses will focus on the essentials of functioning as a not for profit and as a small business. Due to covid19 concerns, we will host virtual classes until such time we could host on site classes in the community.
The classes will be constructed to give students basic knowledge for running their business efficiently and successfully. Such as: Basic Accounting, Marketing, Management Principles, Documentation Management, Human Resource Methods and Violence Prevention Concepts. We believe that these topics are fundamental to the success of any enterprise.
